I have been asked over the course of the past 6 years if there would be a possibility to have a stained glass window put in place of the current “colored plastic” windows on the south side of the church.

The replacement stained glass window (a depiction of St. Charles Borromeo teaching children* [as seen below]) will be a beautiful representation of our patron saint.

*
St. Charles wrote the first Catechism of the Catholic Church.

The window would be thermal pane, which would help on savings of cooling and heating costs for the church. In the course of 10 years, the window will pay for itself!

Memorials and dedications are most welcome.

Please place the name of the memorial or dedication on your envelope. A plaque will be made with the memorial/dedication and placed in an area close to the window.

Checks may be made out to St. Charles Borromeo Church with “
Special Projects Fund or Memorial Window” on the memo line.

Mail your donation to St. Charles Borromeo Church, PO Box 128, Whitefish, MT 59937.

Fr. Ken

The estimated cost of the window — $225,000
plus an additional $30,000 for incidentals: total expenses $255,000
(City of Whitefish [building permit], structural engineer and window framing.)

Thus far, we have collected $235,000 of estimated cost for the window.

Stain Glass Window of St. Charles is in process of being started.

The diocese has accepted the project proposal; demolition and framing of the new window will begin in May.

Project completion should be some time before the end of the year.

Sections of the current window will be removed beginning at the front of the church and then the rear, with the center two sections following.

Clear thermal glass will be installed on the outside with the actual stain glass to be installed later.

Thanks to all those who have contributed, to parishioners and visitors who are making this addition to our church possible!
Thank You!
